Ivory Coast Seydou Doumbia out for two months for diving

Ivory Coast Seydou Doumbia is facing two months on the sidelines after injuring himself diving trying to win a penalty for his Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon. He is set to miss the Elephants' final two 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Mali and Morocco. Ivory Coast's Belgian coach Marc Wilmots confirmed Doumbia had torn a tendon. Doumbia was shown a yellow card for diving and limped off the pitch during Sporting's European Champions League defeat by Barcelona. The 29-year-old went down on the edge of the area as he tried to go past Gerard Pique and then stayed on the ground needing treatment from the Sporting medical team. Bernard Mensah joins Turkish side Kasimpasa on loan

Ghana international midfielder Bernard Mensah has joined Turkish side Kasimpasa on a season long loan from Spanish side Athletico Madrid. Mensah is yet to make an appearance for the Spanish Side since joining them in 2015 on a six-year-deal. This would be the third time he is sent on loan after playing last season with Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes. "It's my first time of playing outside Portugal and Spain, but I'm ready," Mensah told the Turkish club's website. Kasimpasa have the option to sign Mensah on a permanent deal when his loan expires next year. He also previously spent time on loan at Spanish La Liga side Getafe in the 2015/16 campaign. Cameroon will represent Africa in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup competition in Russia. The tournament which begins from June 17 to July 2 will see the African champions face Germany and Chile as they make their second appearance in the competition. Former Berekum Chelsea captain Abdul Basit has completed a move to Portuguese Primeira Liga side Maritimo da Madeira the club have confirmed. The Ghana premier league winner signed a three - year deal with the Green and Red lads on Tuesday. Before his move to the Portuguese top flight side, he was a player for Lithuanian side FC Stumbras. Abdul Basit led Berekum Chelsea to win the Ghana Premier League in 2010 and also helped the side to a semi final stage at the CAF Champions League.

Former Bechem United head coach Manuel Zacharias has joined Dreams FC as the clubs Technical Director the club.   The club confirmed the news after the Portuguese trainer completed his move. Zacharias mutually left Bechem United after having a successful season with them winning the FA cup trophy. "Dreams Football Club is delighted to announce Manuel Zacharias as the club’s new Technical Director" the club reported. Zacharias will assist Head Coach C.K Akunnor as they seek to make a quick return to top flight football.
