The Black Starlets of Ghana are expected to jet out of Ghana to Abu Dhabi on Wednesday to prepare for the impending U-17 India World Cup tournament scheduled for India. Twenty Four players are expected to make the trip to the UAE from the current 28 players in camp. The team while on the tour will then be pruned down to 21 by coach Paa Kwesi Fabin after excessive assessment on the players. The young Ghanaians will engage in series of friendlies in the United Arab Emirates as they prepare for the biggest Youth football festival. Ghana were earlier scheduled for a tour in an European country but after a meeting with the Ministry had to settle for Abu Dhabi.

The Black Starlets of Ghana will head to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates for their Pre-World Cup camping in India. The team decided on Abu Dhabi (UAE) after an agreement between the management team of the Starlets and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The young Ghanaian national team were earlier booked to have their training tour in Denmark, where they were expected to engage in series of friendly matches. But will now have to move to the Oil-Rich country for all their necessary preparations for the tournament. Ghana have been housed with host country India, USA, and Colombia in Group A. The team is expected to depart Ghana for the UAE next week where they will continue their preparation for the World Cup. The 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup kicks off on October 6-26....

Ghana Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan scored to earn his side a point in the Saudi Arabian Gulf League on Saturday as they were held to a 2 - 2 draw game by Al-Sharjah at the Al-Rashid Stadium.   Forward Gelmin Rivas opened the score for the visitors in the 9th minute of the game before Gyan snatched the equaliser for the Red Knights lads in the 66th minute of the game through a spot kick. Gelmin Rivas restored the lead for the visitors with his second goal of the day in the 80th minute but Makhete Diop scored three minutes after to end the game in a 2- 2 draw. The Ghanian skipper lasted the entire duration of the game but could not help his side to win.

Ghana Premier league champions Wa All Stars will return to Ghana on friday from their base in Dubai for the Super Cup clash on Sunday at the Tamale Stadium. The defending champions have been holding a preseason tour in the oil rich country for some weeks now ahead of the new season. All Stars began their campaign in Sudan against Al Hilal where they lost by 3-1 in a friendly game before moving to UAE to continue their preparations. Officials of the club have confirmed that the team will touch down in Accra on Friday where they will head straight to Tamale for the Super Cup clash with Bechem United.  This year's Super Cup slated for the Tamale Sport Stadium will see the league champions and the FA Cup winners lock horns in battle for supremacy.

The black stars of Ghana will depart Dubai for Gabon tomorrow for the African Cup of Nations tournament which begins on Saturday. The black stars players headed by captain Asamoah Gyan along with their technical team and officials will leave the Al Ain for Gabon as the competition nears a start. Coach Avram Grant and his men have been holding a training camp in the oil rich country for some days now as they prepare for the competition which they have been tasked to "Go and bring the Cup" by the Ghana Football Association.  Ghana are housed in group D with the likes of Mali, Uganda and Egypt. The black stars will open their AFCON account on Tuesday afternoon at the Stade de Port Gentil against Uganda.

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan assuaged fears of missing next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon after making an injury return to training at his club side Al Ahli.  Gyan has been sidelined for close to three weeks after being stretchered off early on during a league match. On Tuesday, he completed full-scale training with his teammates as they prepared for a league match on Friday against Sharjah.
