WAFA continued their sensational form in the Premier League with a third successive away win over Elmina Sharks at the Nduom Stadium to open a four-point lead on the top of the Premier League table.

Lomotey’ brace gave WAFA a comfortable 2:0 lead before Samuel Arthur scored a late consolation goal for Sharks.
In Kumasi, Asante Kotoko’s endured another frustrating encounter after they were held to 0-0 score at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium stretching their winless run to four matches after failing to win against Ebusua Dwarfs. Kotoko remain in second place with one point advantage, but have played two more games remaining-placed Aduana Stars.
In Obuasi on Saturday, Hearts of Oak deepened the woes of Ashantigold by beating them 1:0, with Paul Acquah scoring the only goal of the match. The win maintains Hearts of Oak’s new found momentum in the league as they have now won two successive games.

In Berekum, Chelsea defeated Medeama 2:0 with Stephen Sarfo scoring a brace for the home side, while Bolga All Stars and Liberty Professionals settled for a 1:1 draw in Tamale. Noah Neequaye scored for Bolga All Stars before Bernard Arthur equalised for Liberty Professionals.
The games between Tema Youth and Wa All Stars in Tema, as well as the Great Olympics and Aduana Stars have been rescheduled to Monday due to heavy rains the same as the between Olympics and Aduana Stars which was also disrupted by rains.
