WAFA reclaim top spot after Kotoko 2-0 victory

WAFA moved back to the top of the Ghana Premier League after a 2-0 victory over Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Wednesday afternoon in Sogakope.

The Academy boys made their intentions clear right from the first minute when they started mounting pressure on the Reds.

WAFA kept dictating the pace of the game looking for a goal but the resolute defense of the Reds stood on their grounds to prevent the home side from getting a goal.

The second half return with WAFA still mounting interns pressure on the Porcupine Warriors all in search of the opener.

Prince Obeng Ampem finally shot WAFA in the lead in the 57th minute after his strike bounced of Felix Annan into the net.

Striker Daniel Agbloe Lomotey sealed the win for the Academy side with his 66th minutes goal.

This win has lifted the Sogakope based side to the top of the league log with 46 points with Kotoko at fourth with 36 points.
