WAFA vows to break Chelsea’s home run

League leaders WAFA will be hoping to extend their lead on the top of the table when they face Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park on Sunday.

The Academy boys will be going in for a very tough task as they visit the grounds which has proved to be a very difficult place for most of the clubs.

However the Sogakope based club have vowed to end their good home run when they lock horns on Sunday afternoon.

WAFA after a comfortable 2 – 0 home win over Bechem United on Wednesday believes they can win this weekend to extend their lead at the top after setbacks for Aduana Stars in Wa in the midweek.

Chelsea on the other hand will hope to bounce back to winning ways after suffering defeat at the hands of Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

Berekum Chelsea will be willing to win against the skillful Academy boys to move from their 11th position to a more convincing place as the league draws to closer to the end.

WAFA leads the league with 43 points with a game in hand whiles Chelsea occupies the 11th position with 27 points after 22 games.

On Saturday, Bechem United and Bolga All Stars will begin the weekend duel with a clash at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park before defending Champions Wa All Stars will host Liberty Professionals at their home grounds in Wa whiles Aduana Stars play Ebusua Dwarfs.

In Obuasi, inform Ashantigold will host Elmina Sharks at the Len Clay Stadium whiles Great Olympics host Medeama at the Accra Sports Stadium with Inter Allies playing as guest to Tema Youth at the Tema Stadium.

The Super clash between Kotoko and Hearts have been postponed after the unfortunate accident involving the Kotoko team bus on Wednesday night in Nkawkaw.
