Princesses taste defeat against France

The Ghana Black Princesses tasted a 4-1 defeat at the hands of France in the Women U20 World Cup opener played at the Stade de la Rabine in Vannes.

The Ghanaians lost it right from the start of the game after conceding in the 6th minute through striker Laurent who tapped in a cross from the right side of the France attack.

Laurent and Fercocq added the second and third of the day for the host country ending the first half 3-0 against Ghana.

Midfielder Baltimore sealed the win for her side when she added the fourth goal ending the game on a 4-1 score against Ghana.

Striker Sandra Owusu Ansah got the only goal for the Princesses 13 minutes into the second half but it was not enough to turn things around.

Ghana will have to win their next game against the Netherlands and the final one against New Zealand if they can progress to the next round.
