Kumasi Asante Kotoko held Tanzanian side Simba FC to a 1-1 stalemate in a friendly game played at the Tanzania National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The Porcupine Warriors despite not playing competitively due to the suspension on Ghana football proved their wealth in the game played on Wednesday afternoon.
Kotoko opened the score through Obed Owusu who benefited from a a Micheal Yeboah’s rebound to put the Reds in the lead before the end of the first half.
Simba FC came back into the second half very strong and dictated the entire duration of the game all in search of a goal which was prevented by the Kotoko defense.
The home side finally got the much needed equalizer when striker Okwi fired past Felix Annan bringing the score to a 1-1 draw at the end of the 90 minutes.
Simba FC could have gotten the winner in the 86th but a penalty awarded them was saved by Felix Annan who had a fantastic game.
