Togolese footballer Ibrahim Kododji, who plays for German side 1860 Munich Reserves, has died in a road accident.
The player, who was on vacation in his native Togo was reported to have died in an accident whiles visiting his relatives in neighboring country Ghana.
The 24-year-old played for the third and fourth men’s team of the TSV 1860, the detached from the professional team and the reserve team in the Munich amateur leagues.
Most recently, Kododji was vice-captain of the fourth team, according to club information, he was also used as a referee for the lions.
“This is a blatant shock, our heart is burning,” said Christian Poschet, game director of the two amateur teams, to the Munich local newspaper “tz”. “He just liked it.”
