Ghana Black Stars striker Caleb Ekuban has apologized for his penalty miss on Monday evening against Tunisia in the round 16 of the 2019 African Nations Cup.

The Turkey based striker took to his social media account to apologize to the Ghanaian fans after failing to convert his Spot kick.

Ekuban was among five players selected to take penalties for Ghana after their round 16 game ended in a 1-1 stalemate after 120 minutes of play.

But the striker’s kick was saved by the Tunisian goalkeeper which saw the Black Stars exit the competition.

The results means the Cartage Eagles of Tunisia progresses to the next round of the competition and will be meeting Madagascar on Thursday.
