Ghana drawn against host Nation Egypt in U-23 AFCON

Ghana Black Meteors have been drawn against the host Nation of the upcoming CAF Total U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

The draw held at the Haramlek Palace in Alexandria, Egypt on Wednesday saw Ghana pitched against host nation Egypt, Mali and Cameroon in Group A.

The other group has defending champions Nigeria along with South Africa, Zambia and Cote D’Ivoire.

Egypt international Emad Meteab, assisted by Samson Adamu who currently functions as CAF Director of competitions.

The competition has been slated for the 8th of November to 22nd November, 2019, with the matches to be played at the Cairo International stadium and Al Salam stadium.

The top three teams of the final tournament will qualify to represent Africa in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
