Isaac Oppong, Danlad Ibrahim, Mfegue among players kicked out of Kotoko

Ghana Premier League side Kumasi Asante Kotoko has released 11 players including Georges Mfegue and Ibrahim Danlad the club has announced.

This comes after a disappointing season where the club finished in 6th place in the just ended Ghana Premier league season 12 points off winners Samartex.

The 21-year old keeper was part of the Ghana squad for the 2022 WC.

The decision to let go of these players according to the Porcupine Warriors head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum is not based only on footballing matters but also disciplinary grounds among other things.

Some of the players who have left the club chose not to renew their contract after their contract with the club ended.

The players who have left the club are Ibrahim Danlad who was the captain of the team, Georges Mfegue, Eric Zeze, Nicholas Osei Bonsu, Kalo Ouattara, Isaac Oppong, Augustine Agyapong, John Tedeku, Sherif Mohammed, Nicholas Mensah and Moise Pouaty.
